How to pick the right T-shirt size online (without the guesswork)

20 October 2026 · 4 min read

Ordering a tee online should not feel like a coin toss. The good news: you already own the best measuring tool there is. It is the T-shirt in your drawer that fits exactly how you like.

1. Measure a tee you already love

Lay it flat on a table and smooth it out. Measure straight across the chest, about 2.5cm below the armpits, from side seam to side seam. That is the half-chest width. Then measure the length from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.

2. Compare it with the size chart

Our size guide lists the same two measurements for every size, in centimetres. Pick the size whose chest width is closest to your favourite tee. If you are between two sizes, the length usually breaks the tie: taller people often prefer the size up.

3. Know how unisex sizing runs

Our tees are cut unisex, which in practice means men's sizing. Most men wear their usual size. Most women find their usual dress size maps to one size down in unisex for a regular fit, or their usual size for a relaxed fit.

4. Decide on the look you want

  • Fitted: choose the size that matches your chest width exactly.
  • Relaxed: go one size up for a little more room through the body.
  • Oversized: go two sizes up for the boxy, dropped-shoulder look. Expect longer sleeves and hem.

5. Allow for a little shrinkage

Cotton can shrink a little in the first hot wash or dryer cycle. Wash cold and line dry and your tee will keep its size. If you know you will tumble dry, size up.

Still unsure? Send us a message with your measurements and we will suggest a size.
